Featuring Firey, Leafy, Bubble, Woody & Rocky

It was a bright morning in Goiky, and the sun painted the sky in warm oranges and pinks. Off in the distance, Dream Island sparkled on the water like a jewel.
Firey woke up early — his flames flickering with excitement. Today was the day of the Great Yoyle Mountain Race, and he wasn't going to miss it for anything.

At the starting line, Leafy bounced on the tips of her stem. "Oh boy, oh boy! A race to the top of Yoyle Mountain! Isn't this just the BEST day ever?"
Bubble floated beside her, wobbling nervously. "I just hoipe I don't poip before we even start, yoylecake!"
Firey grinned. "Don't worry, Bubble. We'll look out for each other. That's what teammates do."

The Announcer crackled to life, hovering above the gathered contestants.
"Contestants. The first team to reach the top of Yoyle Mountain wins a special prize. There are three checkpoints along the way. Good luck. You will need it."
Coiny elbowed Firey. "I bet we'll beat you up there!"
Firey shot back, "Oh yeah? We'll see about that!" And then — SLAP! — they slapped each other, right on cue.

GO!
The contestants burst off the starting line! Leafy zipped ahead through the Yoyle Forest, dodging branches and jumping over roots. Firey tried to keep up, but he had to be careful — one wrong move near the wet leaves could put out his flame!
Behind them, Pin led her group down a different path. "Shortcut through the ravine! Trust me!"
Blocky laughed. "Famous last words!"

At the first checkpoint, a rickety old bridge stretched across a deep gorge. The wind howled, shaking the planks.
Bubble froze. "I can't do it! One strong gust and I'm going to poip!"
Leafy took a breath. "Bubble, look at me. We'll go together, okay? One step at a time."
Firey walked behind, keeping the wind at bay with a wall of warm air. Step by step, plank by plank, they crossed — together.
"I… I did it! YOYLECAKE!" Bubble cheered.

The trail grew steeper. At checkpoint two, they found Rocky sitting in the middle of the path, doing what Rocky does best — BLARRGH!
Woody stood nearby, trembling at first — but then he took a deep breath. He wasn't the scared little balsa wood he used to be.
"C-come on, Rocky," Woody said, his voice shaky but determined. "Let's keep going. I'll carry you if I have to."
And he did. He picked Rocky right up and marched forward. Everyone stared.
Leafy whispered, "That might be the bravest thing I've ever seen."

As they climbed higher, the air grew cold and snow began to fall. The top of Yoyle Mountain came into view — and it was beautiful. The ancient ruins of Yoyle City glittered below, half-buried in snow.
But the final stretch was an icy cliff. No path. No stairs. Just sheer ice and wind.
Firey looked at his friends. "I can melt handholds into the ice. Leafy, you're the best climber. Bubble — you float. You can scout the safest route from above."
Bubble nodded. "Let's do this, loiyfe!"
Page 8
Firey melted the ice. Leafy climbed. Bubble guided them from above. And Woody — still carrying Rocky — pulled himself up the last ledge with a strength nobody knew he had.
They reached the summit together.
No single winner. No elimination. Just friends, standing at the top of the world, looking out at Goiky spread below them like a colorful quilt.
Firey turned to Leafy. "Hey, Leafy? I'm glad you're on my team."
Leafy smiled the biggest smile. "Me too, Firey. Me too."
